The supporter data available in Organise is vital to the running of the party, but we also have an obligation to ensure we are managing this personal data in a lawful and secure way.
The most important part of keeping this personal data secure is restricting access to just the individuals who need this data for a party role, and limiting what they can see to the specific data they need for that role.
The following roles should be given access to Organise during their tenure:
- CLP Secretary
- Branch Secretary
- Vice-Chair (Membership)
Access is managed on an area-by-area basis, so these roles will usually only have access to the area they are a role holder for. For instance, if you are a branch secretary you will just see your branch, and if you are a CLP secretary, just your CLP.
Other local members may be given access for specific limited purposes. Secretaries can manage this by assigning the member the “Organise Local Admin”/”OGLA” role for a specific area in Admin Hub. For instance, a Vice-Chair (Campaigns) could be given access to a ward so they can mobilise volunteers for a by-election.
