What does being in arrears mean?

Being in arrears simply means members’ payments are not up to date. This is generally because a member hasn’t sent a payment to renew their membership, or because their direct debit has failed or been cancelled. There is a 6 month grace period in which people can bring their payments up to date, otherwise they will lapse and their membership will end.

Rates?

The Party offers several different rates. Most members pay our Standard rate of £5.88 a month and many choose to pay more to support our campaigns.

Standard rate is £5.88 per month or £70.50 for the year.

The Reduced rate of £2.96 per month or an annual payment of £35.50. This rate is split into three different segments.

  • Retired, unwaged or working less than 16 hours a week
  • Aged between 20-26
  • Member of an Affiliated trade union

Other rate of £1 per month or £12 per annum if the member is a student or is aged between 14-19.

Change the date of your direct debit

Unfortunately, all membership direct debits are collected on 21st of the month. However, this is something the Party is currently investigating and hopes to add several dates in the near future.

Lapsed

Unfortunately, if your membership of the Party has lapsed then you can not renew your membership. If your membership has reached this state then you will need to re-join the Party as a new member. We would love to have you back with us and can do so by clicking here
